The Routes

***UPDATED ROUTE DETAILS AND MAPS - 2017***

Welcome to beautiful San Luis Obispo County, California’s Central Coast.

The City of Paso Robles is the epicenter for all Eroica California event activities. Paso Robles (El Paso de Robles) means “The Passage of Oaks”.  The area has a rich agricultural history and is known for the rolling hills studded with beautiful California Oak trees, abundant vineyards and award winning wines. In addition to popular wine and food gatherings, the Tour of California has visited the area on several occasions and many cycling teams have chosen the area for winter training camps because of the ideal climate and terrain. The Santa Lucia range west of Paso Robles has some of the best cycling roads in the world that have been kept secret until now. Additionally, the nearby Pacific Ocean adds to the diversity of the region and also provides excellent riding. The stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway from San Simeon to Morro Bay offers some of the most stunning scenery found anywhere.

Short Route 40 Miles

The Short Route is ideal for riders of all levels, but there will be some challenges with its undulating terrain.  The route explores the wine country to the east of Paso Robles and Templeton.
